Hi there!
I’m Dr. lori –
Psychologist, Grandma, Women’s Advocate, and someone who has spent 40 years in the therapy room believing that the right conversation at the right moment changes everything.
For anyone navigating the hard parts of being human — caregiving, self-doubt, anxiety, and everything in between.
Let’s Get REAL.
For more than 40 years I’ve sat with people through some of the hardest parts of their lives — and here’s what I know to be true:
Most of us are exhausted from pretending.
Pretending we’re fine when the anxiety won’t quiet down. Pretending the self-doubt isn’t running the show. Pretending we’re not grieving someone who is still in the room. Pretending we don’t need anything when we’re quietly disappearing in the process of caring for everyone else.
But I’ve also watched something else happen in that same therapy room.
I’ve watched women find the courage to say the true thing. I’ve watched grief turn into grace, self-doubt turn into self-trust, and exhaustion turn into a life that actually fits.
I’ve watched people discover that on the other side of all that pretending — there is real joy. Real connection. Real laughter that doesn’t need to be performed.
That’s what you’ll find here. A podcast that takes therapeutic guidance off the couch and brings it directly to you. Specialized support for caregivers who are walking one of the hardest roads there is. And a community of women who are done performing and ready to get honest — and to find some joy and laughter along the way.
This is where the real conversation begins.
